First-time use instructions for the water kettle:

1. Clean all components.

2. Submerge the filter cartridge in water and shake it several times.

3. Assemble all components.

4. Fill with water, filter three times, and discard the water.

5. To start: Hold down the SET button for 3 seconds to activate the timer. To stop: Hold down the SET button for 3 seconds; the indicator light will flash three times before releasing, stopping the timer.
